Patrick Mahomes is more than just a superstar midfielder. He’s also a big fan of ketchup. Yes, you read that right, ketchup. Kansas City Chief QB loves this spice so much that he has endorsed various brands in the field.
Mahomes has revealed her love for ketchup in her personal biography, saying, “It’s always been my personal favorite.” He even often eats bread with a simple tomato sauce in the middle, which he calls the main course.
In a recent interview, Mahomes explained her love of ketchup and bread, saying, “When I was a kid, I used to eat only ketchup sandwiches with only ketchup. and bread.” While he no longer eats this, he still includes ketchup in his diet. “I eat 4-5 meals a day. I eat breakfast, then lunch, then eat dinner to make sure I don’t eat too much at a time,” he shared.
Mahomes’ ketchup obsession eventually led him to Clark Hunt, owner of the Kansas City Chiefs. Hunt’s ketchup brand approached Mahomes to be their brand ambassador and he happily accepted.
Mahomes even prefers Hunt’s ketchup to Heinz. Hunt, also a ketchup enthusiast, was pleased with Mahomes’ choice. “So far, he’s probably enjoyed a bunch of free bottles from them every year,” a Mahomes rep said.
Chiefs’ QB is a great ketchup lover
Patrick’s diet and fitness played a big part in his success. He follows a strict diet plan, which helps him maintain his physique and mobility. “I need to stay fit and play at the highest level,” he said. Despite his strict routine, he couldn’t resist including ketchup in his meals.
Mahomes’ love for ketchup has made him a fan favorite, and he’s clearly not ashamed to admit it. He even joked about it on social media, posting pictures of himself with bottles of ketchup. “ketchup on everything,” he captioned one of his posts. With talent on the field and love for ketchup, Mahomes is a unique and eye-catching character, something his fans admire and strive to emulate in their own lives.
